IDC Canada's Advisory Panels are designed for information and communication technology (ICT) professionals and business executives. We ask a wide range of questions relating to their use of, expenditure on, resourcing for and challenges with information and communication technology.
At present, IDC Canada holds 2 panels: IDC Canada's Advisory Panel on Information and Communication Technology (ITAP) and IDC Canada's Advisory Panel on Business/Information and Communication Technology Alignment (BITAP). Gathering key information from the ITAP and BITAP members, IDC evaluates the evolution as well as the future potential for the state of business in the field of information and communication technology.
For these panels, IDC is looking for professionals working in Canada at medium (100-499 employees) and large (500+ employees) organizations.
Participation is quick! Surveys usually take just 15 minutes. Panelists complete 4 to 5 surveys per year, on average.
Participation is easy! Conducted via the web, the survey is available 24 hours a day, allowing panel members to participate when it is most convenient.
Participation has its rewards! In addition to being part of an industry leading team, active participants on the ITAP and BITAP receive Chapters.Indigo electronic gift certificates, benchmark studies, industry white papers, and are entered in prize draws.
Confidentiality is assured. IDC Canada will not share your contact information or the list of panel members with any other organization. The data will only be utilized in an aggregate method.

IDC Canada values input from small businesses! IDC Canada also conducts several small business (1-99 employees) surveys each year. Surveys typically take 15 minutes, and are conducted over the telephone.

1. What is the BITAP?
The BITAP, also known as IDC Canada's Advisory Panel on Business/Information and Communication Technology Alignment, invites ICT Managers and Business executives to participate in approximately 4 on-line surveys per year. Participants are provided with a user ID and a password, allowing them to logon to a secure site housing the surveys. When a survey is "live," participants can logon and complete the study at their leisure.

On our panels, we ask a wide range of questions relating to business executives and ICT managers use of, expenditure on, resourcing for, and challenges with information and communication technology. Gathering key information from the BITAP, IDC evaluates the evolution as well as the future potential for the state of business in the field of ICT.

In return for your participation, you will receive Chapters.Indigo electronic gift certificates, benchmark studies, industry white papers, and you will be entered in prize draws.

The ITAP is our shorthand for IDC Canada's Advisory Panel on Information and Communication Technology. It is an electronic panel of Canadian ICT managers. Members are invited to participate in approximately 5 on-line surveys per year. Participants are provided with a user ID and password, allowing them to logon to a secure site housing the surveys. When a survey is "live," participants can logon and complete the study at their leisure.
